A love dispute which reportedly went sour has led a woman to biting her boyfriend’s testicles, leaving it in stitches and permanently damaged.
The culprit, Martinne Delavega, was charged by investigators in Onslow County, North Carolina, with malicious castration, and assault causing serious bodily injury.
According to the Onslow county sheriff’s office, Delavega, 51, caused her lover a permanent disorder, after she clamped down with her teeth so hard on his testicles.
However, the attacker did not go unscathed, as she also suffered an injury during the incident. A police mugshot showed that she was wearing a bandage on her head, speculations are that the woman was injured as the victim tried to stop her.
Delavega appeared in front of a judge this week where she insisted that the incident, which took place on Wednesday, September 9, had been a misunderstanding,
The accused was however released on a $10,000 (an equivalent of N220,000) bond pending further court proceedings.
Meanwhile, the case in Onslow is not peculiar to the USA only, as a similar incident took place in Lagos, where a man reportedly took his girlfriend to his friend’s house and after a few hours, the lady was seen running out of the house half naked, shouting for help.
Speculations had it that she was raped. But few minutes later her boyfriend came out screaming also: apparently, his penis had been bitten off by the lady. The man was rushed to the hospital where reports say his already dead body part was stitched.
