The Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, has been screened out of the Oyo state APC governorship primaries for not possessing the NYSC certificate.
Recall that last week, it was widely reported the Minister's failure to participate in the mandatory one-year scheme when he graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University in 1978. After graduating from the Nigerian Law School in 1979 at 25, Adebayo instead of registering for the mandatory one year scheme, ran for a seat in the Oyo state House of Assembly and won.
